In his first interview since federal agents raided his home and hotel room three months ago as part of an investigation into his business dealings, Cohen made clear that protecting Trump is not his priority.

Giuliani, an attorney for President Trump.

He called it "the most corrupt investigation I have ever seen", taking his cue from the president.

Giuliani previously told the New York Times that Trump won't sit down for an interview unless Mueller can prove there was evidence of criminal wrongdoing.

Cohen's home, office and a hotel room in NY were raided by the FBI in April as part of an investigation into his business dealings. Cohen recently told ABC's George Stephanopoulos that he is putting "family and country first" and protecting the president is not his priority.

It's not clear to what extent, if any, the attacks on Comey have resonated with Mueller's team, which is broadly investigating Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election and continues to seek an interview with the president to assess whether he had a corrupt intent when he fired the Federal Bureau of Investigation director. Giuliani said Mr. Trump's tweets are the result of the president finally having the time to turn his attention to this issue and because Mr. Trump wants the investigation to wrap up.

The only legal risk for Mr. Trump, Giuliani told CBS News' Paula Reid, is lying to investigators, which Giuliani says could only be proven by a witness or document giving an alternate version of events.

The national team has been gaining followers and drawing increasing political attention from government leaders with every win. Vida, who scored in extra time before his side's win on penalties , shouted "Glory to Ukraine" in Ukrainian.

Trump has said he does not see Cohen turning against him.

The Cohen interview was released on the same day that a former federal judge vetting material seized from him said in a court filing that over a million items were turned over to prosecutors after she determined they weren't protected by attorney-client privilege.

"We've been through everything on collusion and obstruction", he said. "Nobody wants to speak more than me".

"Did Rudy Giuliani really say on Sunday shows that Michael Cohen should cooperate with prosecutors and tell the truth?" he asked.

Cohen also is undergoing a change in his legal team. Kasowitz and Trump lawyer Jay Sekulow did not immediately return messages, and former Trump attorney John Dowd declined to comment.

Giuliani also said he had "zero" concern that Michael Cohen, a former Trump attorney who represented him for a decade while he was a NY real estate mogul and into the first year of his presidency, might provide prosecutors damaging information about Trump.

He also told ABC he did not agree with Trump's recent tweet repeating Vladimir Putin's claim that Russian Federation did not interfere in the election. "Michael's not going to lie, he's going to tell the truth, and as long as he does that we have nothing to fear", Giuliani said.
