Harry Kane is now preparing for the biggest game of his career, but that has not stopped him taking time out of his day to make one young fan's week.

For the first time in 28 years, the Three Lions will contest a World Cup semi-final on Wednesday.

When the Group Stages of the World Cup were about to start, there were a handful of players that most pundits had high up on their list of potential players that could win that award this year, and one player many of them overlooked was Harry Kane.

The average age of a player in the squad is just 26, and captain Harry Kane is yet to celebrate his 25th birthday, a fact which is making the rest of the country feel decidedly unaccomplished (and old).

The match was also full of controversy, with England defender John Stones saying Colombia were probably the "dirtiest team" he has faced. "We couldn't be any more happy with the guys at the hospital for arranging this for us, for arranging the ceremony yesterday and for getting Ben through what's been an incredibly tough 6 weeks". We had the sense before the game that we don't want to go home yet.

But if some critics of France have been silenced by superb performances, it had been a different story in Belgium until recently. He shares his room with (Frenchman) Alexis (Vuillermoz) - one of them might end up with a black eye.

After contributing to England's victory against Sweden, Southgate's charges now take on Croatia for a spot in the World Cup final.

"It was great to come through that game the other night and just to see the joy in everyone's faces".

And Kane is thrilled to be held up as the figurehead of the team, even if his pregnant fiancée can not be with him in Russian Federation to join the celebrations.

Leicester City have told Harry Maguire that they will make him the highest paid player at the club alongside Jamie Vardy this summer. It is going to be extremely hard and it might be a game of fine margins.
