Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas believes that Liverpool target Nabil Fekir will stay put at the club into next season.

France worldwide Fekir appeared on the brink of a move to Anfield only for the deal to fall through after he had completed a medical and agreed personal terms.

OL have been tipped to sell Nabil Fekir to Liverpool, with Aouar expected to be the France international's long-term replacement in the team.

Nabil Fekir arguably had his best season for Lyon under the Frenchman, Bruno Genesio.

"I have nearly a father-son relationship with my players".

The 24-year-old was reportedly set to sign for Liverpool earlier in the transfer window, but a mysterious issue with the playmaker's medical led the French club to release a statement saying the move was off.

England had a good opportunity to amass a huge total, but India fought back after the twin dismissals of the English openers. Pandya also played an unbeaten 14-ball 33-run cameo as skipper Virat Kohli (43; 29b; 2x4, 2x6) missed out on a half-century.

"I have an nearly father-son relationship with my players".

'I did that too with Tolisso and Umtiti, he is our captain and it is the coach's wish to keep him'.

With a deal for Nabil Fekir nowhere close to being completed, journalists, pundits and fans are hanging onto every bit of information that comes to light and Lyon's decision to extend Yassin Fekir's contract is one revelation which has troubled fans.

France face Belgium in the semi-finals on Tuesday.

Jurgen Klopp's side have begun strengthening their squad this summer, having already signed Fabinho and Naby Keita in the central midfield places. "Despite his injury he played his best this season for me so the situation isn't awful".

'What happens on the other side [of the World Cup], we will see'. We will see after the World Cup.
