The Queen and Prince Philip will not attend their great-grandson Prince Louis' christening on Monday afternoon. (Charlotte's ceremony took place at St. Mary Magdalene Church, in Sandringham, instead.) Kate Middleton herself also received communion at the Chapel Royal just before her wedding to Prince William.

Prince Louis will have six godparents when he is christened at St James's Palace later today, Kensington Palace has revealed.

The following year, Prince William missed the Royal Family's traditional Christmas lunch to attend the memorial service of Mr Pelly's father John, who owned two Toyota-Subaru garages in Kent.

Louis's grandparents - the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall - were also at the ceremony.

Like his siblings Prince George and Princess Charlotte before him, Louis will be dressed up in an article of clothing that carries the weight of history.

But most of the buzz surrounding the event has to do with who will be named as Louis' godparents.

North Korea lashes out at U.S. , calls talks 'extremely regrettable'
So, if I were President Trump , I would not let China use North Korea to back me off of the trade dispute. State department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said no meeting with Kim had been planned.

As for the godfathers, Nicholas van Cutsem is a childhood friend of Prince William and brother of William van Cutsem, who is one of Prince George's godfathers.

In addition to the royal family, members of Kate's family - her parents, Michael and Carole, brother, James, and sister, Pippa - are also attending the christening.

Britain's Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.

The robe, made by the Queen's senior dresser Angela Kelly, is a replica of the intricate lace and satin dress made for Queen Victoria's eldest daughter in 1841. Pelly is the son of Princess Diana's close friend Lady Caroly Herbert. Robert Carter was asked to be Princess Charlotte's godparent in 2015, so it's only fitting his wife was asked to be the latest royal bubs.

The Lily Font is another piece of royal history present at Louis's christening.

Following the service, the Royals and guests headed over to Charles and Camilla's home Clarence House for a private tea, which included christening cake which is actually a tier from Kate and William's wedding cake.
