These 'It's Coming Home' Memes Win the World Cup

For the first time since 1990, England are on their way to the World Cup semifinal against Croatia after a 2-0 victory over Sweden.

With the resurgence of the English team in the World Cup in Russian Federation, the song has come smashing back into relevance as England fans start to believe.

Along with the clip, posted on Twitter, he wrote: "It's coming home... guess who?"

Dubbing "Three Lions" over absolutely every movie ever made has proved to be a popular theme.

The number one comes 22 years after the song was released in 1996 to accompany the European Championships, which were that year held in England.

"Three Lions (Football's Coming Home)" was originally written for Euro 96 - the last time England qualified for the semi-finals of a major tournament - and hit the number one spot twice.

He said he was delighted with his own song's success.
