But Apple hasn't promised the new keyboards will offer any additional reliability over its previous generation butterfly keyboard. However, the base model which starts at RM 7,499 is equipped with quad-core 8th Gen Intel Core i5 instead alongside 8GB LPDDR3-2133 RAM, and 256GB solid state drive. These changes are expected to include better chips and "significant display-performance upgrades" for the MacBook, MacBook Pro, iMac and Mac mini.

Already the most popular notebook for developers around the world, the new MacBook Pro can compile code faster and run multiple virtual machines and test environments easier than before.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of TF International Securities believes 2018 may be the year that a new version of the Mac mini will roll out into the market, according to his latest research note as reported by 9to5Mac.

Additionally, Kuo said Apple may release a new low-priced laptop, similar to the MacBook Air, but likely rebranded in a new way.
