5 teams that should target Adonis Alexander in the supplemental draft

Typically, the NFL's Supplemental Draft is an afterthought for most teams. The team bidding the highest round is awarded the player and forfeits the corresponding pick in the next spring's draft. As an example, if the Browns decide to bid a third-round pick on Western Michigan CB Sam Beal - which is a real possibility - they must be in the first pod where any team bids to select him.

A team interested in a player must submit a blind bid - listing the round it would select the player - and the team highest in the draft order with the earliest-round bid gets the player. Gordon has been very productive when on the field but has missed huge portions of his career due to off-field issues; he returned to the field past year after sitting out almost three seasons.

No player has been selected by any team since 2015, when the Rams took Clemson offensive lineman Isaiah Battle.

All 32 teams were represented at Beal's pro day, per Jeff Risdon of RealGM. There is a great risk of loss but also a great chance for reward as well. The tools are there for him to be a starting corner at the next level. He had issues with marijuana in college and after multiple things declared for the supplemental draft.

But with Reese now gone and the more ambitious Dave Gettleman having taken over, the Giants once again dipped into the supplemental draft pool. There will be questions about whether he's dynamic enough to overcome his lack of size, questions he won't be able to definitively answer without a pre-draft workout. Alexander and Beal are two of the more talented prospects to enter the Supplemental Draft in a few years.

Wimbledon not moving if football does "come home"
The players are going to look up in the crowd and not understand what's going on at Wimbledon . He also told BBC Sport that Wimbledon's big TV screen on "Henman Hill" was reserved for tennis.

As of the publishing of this article, there has been no indication that the Vikings put in any claims on either of the players and considering the top prospects were cornerbacks, it isn't shocking to see Minnesota stand firm.

It might take a considerable draft asset, but if Beal is as good as advertised, the Chiefs could shore up a major area of concern for the present and the future with the right move.

Alexander and Beal are potentially worth the risk.

From a production standpoint, Beal did a good job in the past two seasons making plays on the ball. All too willing to let himself be blocked out of a play with little resistance, his interest in playing the run is nearly non-existent. He plays with outstanding ball skills and strength as a tackler. The team needs help at corner. There is buzz about his processing on the field, academic issues off it and the fact he peaked as a freshman. So, there's definitely a connection between the player and team. Sports reported that Bryant is expected to sign with the Jets. He is a fleet and aggressive defender who is unafraid to rough up receivers when playing press coverage but also has fluid hips, allowing him to easily turn and run with wideouts. Journeyman Tyvis Powell received first-team reps during the offseason program while 2014 first-round pick Jimmie Ward sat with a minor ankle injury. At his Pro Day, Bryant posted a 4.45 40-yard dash, a 34-inch vertical and a 10'3 broad jump at 5-11, 207 pounds. When he's got his eyes on the football, he can go up and make a play on it in the air. He was arrested and charged with a DUI in January 2017.

- Scouting report: The 2016 Division II leading rusher with nearly 2,000 yards, Carter was limited by injuries in his junior season and still managed nearly 900 rushing yards.
