Indiana Jones won't be swinging back into movie theaters until at least 2021.

First published July 10, 2018 at 10:17 a.m. PT. Update, 10:32 a.m. PT: Adds additional release schedule information. Not a lot of time in the grand scheme of things. The delays reportedly came from key members of the production not being satisfied with the script from original screenwriter David Koepp (Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull). As with all release date stories, the announcements relate to USA dates; the Ralph follow-up for example, is out in the States on 21 November this year before heading here on the 30th of the month.

In other release date news, Disney has scheduled Jungle Cruise and Maleficent 2 to hit theaters in 2019 and 2020, respectively.

'Assad safe from Israel if Iran removed from Syria,' Netanyahu tells Putin
Iran is backing Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in the war, as is Russian Federation . In their Moscow meeting Netanyahu and Putin were to discuss Syria.

Details on the plot for the fifth Indiana Jones film are now unknown. The timing begs some questions, such as... well, hey, do we really still need to do this?

While the delayed release of Indiana Jones has been widely reported, it is a bit of a surprise that Mary Poppins Returns is being moved up.

At some point in the near future (if we're not there already), Harrison Ford isn't going to be able to play an action hero type any more.

We'll have more on Indiana Jones and the Legend of the Life Alert (or the City of Atlantis, the Pick of Destiny, Curly's Gold - whatever) as news develops.
