England scored yet another set piece goal on Wednesday to earn an early 1-0 lead over Croatia in the World Cup semifinal.

Southgate and his players trained at their base in Repino on Tuesday morning before heading for Moscow and the Luzhniki Stadium where their fate will be decided on Wednesday evening.

Croatia beat Russian Federation on penalties in Sochi on July 8 to book a spot in the World Cup semi-finals, while England outclassed Sweden 2-0 the day before Croatia's victory.

But place in the World Cup final against France was not to be. "Show the world... let them know it's coming home!" They are confident and have a young team. And put in a performance.

As quoted by the Mirror, Alli admitted about the Sweden game: "I spoke to the manager and some of my team-mates because I didn't feel like I was playing as well as I should have been. We were a group of guys having a lot of fun, enjoying our football, learning and improving all the time - and that's what these lads have done". Most members of the current team were not even born when England last reached this stage of the World Cup, which was in 1990 in Italy. "Of course, we'll do our best to be fit for the semi-final".

"We take it on the chin, we move on".

"Well done England you've done us all proud", she said. He wants them to keep pushing, no matter where it ends.

Kremlin says linking Russian Federation with new Novichok poisoning is 'absurd'
Police suspect Ms Sturgess and Mr Rowley were exposed to novichok through a contaminated item left over from the first attack. Public Health England is advising people in the area not to pick up items including needles, syringes or unusual containers.

"This was the dream, we could've made it, we could have done it".

"It had tactical understanding, it had technically good players".

"I'm completely devastated at the result, more than I thought I would be", he said.

"We had our flights booked for next Monday - we booked two flights, we weren't that optimistic, we have flights tomorrow as well". Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.

"This was Croatia to get to the World Cup final - it's not going to get better than this I don't think". England were eventually knocked out of that tournament by Germany on a penalty shootout, Southgate the only man to fail with his spot kick.

Goalkeeper Danijel Subasic says he will play through the pain against England after he needed treatment on a muscle problem against Russian Federation before becoming Croatia's spot-kick hero for the second round running.
