Amazon Prime Day begins at 12pm today, prepare for dealmageddon

Amazon's yearly Prime Day sale is about to get underway with millions of products expected to be dropped in price.

During Prime Day, Spotlight Deals will feature slashed prices on top brands that last until they are out of stock. So a Rs 999 annual plan of Amazon Prime will cost you just Rs 499. The company offers the two plans from which interested customers can choose from. It also comes with a voice remote which can be used to play Amazon Prime Video titles with just a voice command.

While Amazon is offering price cuts on various items, some of the best deals will be on the brands exclusive to Amazon. The upcoming sale from Flipkart will be offering unmatched offers under Blockbuster deals, Rush Hour Deals, First Time Discounts, and Price Crash offers.

One big differentiator this year from Amazon is its VR experience.

There are also plenty of deals going live on 4K TVs, laptops, smart home gear, fashion, alcohol, baby stuff, toys, mobile phones and honestly pretty much every product category you can imagine.

The e-tailer will also host sales for Xiaomi's Redmi 5A and Redmi Note 5 Pro, as well as Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 at different time slots on July 16.

There are also chances to win rewards worth lakhs through various contests that will run on the platform from July 12-19.
