Elon Musk Calls Hero of Thai Cave Rescue a "Pedo"

Musk then shipped the submarine out to Thailand, commenting that it was ready to be used if and when it was needed.

The billionaire chief executive of SpaceX and Tesla Motors was apparently responding to criticism from Vernon Unsworth, who accused Musk of creating a miniature submarine to rescue the boys as a "PR stunt" during an interview with CNN. Unsworth said the mini-sub was too long and rigid for the cave conditions and that Musk had "no conception" of what the cave passages were like.

"It wouldn't have made the first 50 metres into the cave from the dive start point."

He also defended himself, tweeting out emails between himself and another one of the divers, Richard Stanton, as proof that his plan to use the mini-sub to help the boys was in fact a viable solution. Angered by how the alleged publicity stunt distracted from strategies that he felt prioritized the children's dwindling time, Unsworth went so far to say that Musk "can stick his submarine where it hurts".

Elon Musk went on a freaky rant against a British diver involved in last week's Thai cave rescue after the diver mocked the billionaire tech entrepreneur's proposed plan to help with the mission. "Only people in sight were the Thai navy/army guys, who were great".

"It just had absolutely no chance of working", he continued.

Elon Musk tweeted out video demonstrating how his miniature submarine worked.

In a series of tweets on Sunday, Musk took aim at the British diver, who lives in Thailand. He confirmed that he did, indeed, mean to call a diver who saved the 12 boys a pedophile and tweeted, "bet ya a signed dollar it's true". "Thai navy seals escorted us in - total opposite of wanting us to leave", Musk wrote.

"We will make [a video] of the mini-sub/pod going all the way to Cave 5 no problemo".

The CEO subsequently denied the accusations on Twitter, saying: "Reports that I am a top donor to GOP are categorically false".

Meanwhile the two Australians who helped in the global rescue of the Wild Boars soccer team were given diplomatic immunity in the event anything went wrong during the treacherous rescue.
