LONDON: Eoin Morgan has insisted England value a series win over India far more highly than remaining as the world´s top-ranked one-day global side.

Morgan added: "I thought Joe was quite significant in that, his rotation of strike, his calm head and we did our basics well".

"I think the main thing is he keeps getting wickets in his first over".

Victory at Lord's on Saturday to level this three-match Royal London series has set up just the sort of occasion England can expect if they advance to the closing stages of a home World Cup they are desperate to win this time next year. "And the more we face him, the easier he got to pick".

The times have changed and India today is a two-time world cup victor and is a force to beat in world cricket.

"If it was a Middlesex game and I was captain or giving advice to the captain, that advice would have been to bat first".

Ronaldo arrives in Italy to complete Juventus move
But ultimately Napoli, who finished second behind Juventus last season, could not afford to sign the 33-year-old. The report states that Ronaldo's agent contacted the Naples football club in the hopes of starting a dialogue.

Certainly a big performance at Leeds on Tuesday might help his cause. "If we can use this game as a semi final, a must win with the pressure on, we can learn what we are doing wrong if we don't win or what we are doing right if we do win". "We could only get one or two runs and the asking rate was climbing, so there was pressure on the batsmen". We just knew what we needed to get better, he said. "Hopefully we can carry on that trend".

India: Assistant coach Sanjay Bangar said that Bhuvneshwar Kumar is "in with a chance to play" but that will be subject to another fitness test.

Rohit Sharma began the ODI series with a bang with an unbeaten match winning century in the first ODI at Trent Bridge, but got out cheaply in the second ODI for just 15 runs while trying a wild hoick against Mark Wood. We have a few batsmen down the order who can score quickly.

In the end it proved to be a weird innings from India in the second one-day game at Lord's as they didn't as much as display they were making an effort of going for the target of 322.

One man who could do with showing his true character on Tuesday is Ben Stokes, who has looked rusty since returning from his latest injury setback and has yet to impose himself on this series. We managed to see India through by bowling them out by the end of the game.
