N'Golo Kante Offered Mammoth New Deal by Chelsea

Kante has cemented himself as one of the best defensive midfielders in world football after three hugely impressive seasons in the Premier League, first with Leicester City and then with Chelsea. In addition to that, his performance in the World Cup has also grabbed attention.

Chelsea have reportedly offered N'Golo Kante a new five-year contract worth close to £290,000 a week.

Despite the admiring glances from elsewhere, Goal understands Kante remains happy at Chelsea and the club's failure to qualify for the Champions League has not prompted him to consider his future.

United have quickly moved through their transfer targets with it initially being reported Tottenham's Toby Alderweireld was their top priority.

Although, the Blues have offered the World Cup victor a contract remain at Stamford Bridge ahead of the 2018/2019 term. Now the FA Cup winners are apparently ready to let him join the Champions league victor however they are keen to buy a replacement first.

Rojo has been a part of the United team for four years but Jose Mourinho is willing to let go of the defender for the right price.
