Dillashaw lands only 0.56 knockdowns per 15 minutes and Garbrandt had never been knocked down in his UFC career.

Garbrandt hit Dillashaw with a wide right hand that would close Dillashaw's right eye. He was caught by another harsh right from Dillashaw which gave obvious jelly legs to Garbrandt. The 135-pound title fight was an immediate rematch of a bout at UFC 217 in November that Dillashaw won via TKO in the second round.

The 39-year-old Jurassic World actor was spotted heading out after attending UFC 227: Dillashaw vs. Garbrandt 2 on Saturday night (August 4) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Referee Herb Dean waved it off as Dillashaw unloaded punches and a knee along the fence.

"I am the best bantamweight of all time", Dillashaw said in the Octagon. In his post-fight interview, Cejudo said he wants to move up to face the bantamweight champion in a superfight to attempt to become a two-weight world champion.

After Saturday night's win in Los Angeles, Dillashaw erased any lingering doubts over which of the pair was the better man, thanks to an even more decisive performance.

Henry Cejudo ended Demetrious Johnson's almost six-year reign as the UFC flyweight champion Saturday night, earning a split-decision victory for a stunning upset at UFC 227.

Asked about a potential super fight with Cejudo, Dillashaw said, "It sounds like a fun fight".

After the very competitive and exciting fight, it was announced that Cejudo had ended Johnson's historic reign via split decision.

Earlier in the evening, veteran Cub Swanson aims to get back in the win column after back-to-back losses as he battles Renato Moicano in a clash of featherweights as a +285 underdog, while middleweight Kevin Holland makes his UFC promotional debut, battling Thiago Santos, also as a +285 underdog. For the champion, a rematch against former bantamweight king Dominick Cruz seems to be on the horizon.

Dillashaw retains the 135lb title he won from Garbrandt last year, in doing so consigning the Team Alpha Male fighter to the bottom of the ladder less than a year after he was its undisputed champion. "I wanted to beat his right hand with my own and show him who has the real power".

The fight didn't start out in Cejudo's favor as he appeared to turn an ankle in the opening round and limped at times as Johnson continued to switch stances and score with strikes from the outside.
