Les Miles Urban Meyer Ohio State: Miles to replace

Ohio State coach Urban Meyer insisted Friday he followed proper protocols in reporting domestic violence allegations against an assistant coach in 2015, passionately defending himself in his first extensive comments since he was put on paid leave amid a university investigation. Meyer and Zach Smith both added essential pieces to their sides of the story that was mainly being told through the reporting of Brett McMurphy, and it happened nearly in unison as Zach Smith sternly said he.

Courtney Smith, the ex-wife, says coaches knew of the allegations.

Urban Meyer is now being investigated by Ohio State, as the university attempts to discern whether or not he was aware of the domestic violence allegations against former WR coach Zach Smith back in 2015.

Zach replied, "I know!" and "I'm so so sorry!" "I take that responsibility very seriously and any suggestions to the contrary are false". By his telling on July 24 in Chicago at Big Ten football media days, he'd had no information at all in 2015 to pass up the line. "However, I was not adequately prepared to discuss these sensitive personnel issues with the media, and I apologize".

Unless head coach Urban Meyer and athletic director Gene Smith do what needs to be done. Zach Smith heard about allegations of domestic abuse and said that he went to the Powell, Ohio, police department. He said Meyer told him then that he would fire Smith if the head coach found out Smith hit his wife. "Anything that happened to her body was all just defensive movements to remove myself form the situation and that's it.' I said, 'I'm not going to get charged for the incident because I did nothing wrong'". I volunteered to do that. I've never committed domestic abuse against her.

Zach Smith said Meyer said to him: "He looked at me and said, 'I swear to God, Zach, if I find out you hit her, you're done".

"Please know truth is the ultimate power and I am confident I took appropriate action", he said. I knew exactly what he did. Meyer allegedly reported that incident to his University of Florida supervisors. And Friday morning, per ESPN's Edward Acshoff, they announced the six-person group who will lead the investigation. And I did so regarding the Zach Smith incident in 2015.

Sanctions will also be reapplied to USA imports of Iranian carpets and foodstuffs and on certain related financial transactions. And more punishing oil sanctions will return in November.

Smith continued to work for the Florida football team. It is not clear what contact Meyer had, if any, with university officials about the situation until Smith was sacked last month. I don't think it was his job to investigate, to ask questions, to talk to her. I told Shelley. I sent her some pictures.

Smith later said "I freaked out" when he saw his wife bleeding, and said "Oh my god, are you okay?" and helped her clean up, and said "Oh my God, I didn't mean to do that".

Smith often responded to that flak in a less-than-productive way.

ESPN has reached out to Courtney Smith's attorney regarding the texts.

Smith does not think Meyer should be fired for misleading the public.

In a statement last month, the university said, in part, that Ohio State remains "actively committed to uncovering what may have happened and what university leaders at the time may have known" about Strauss' alleged actions. I knew exactly what he knew; I knew exactly what he did.
