BST: Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney, now at MLS club DC United, has said he believes Jose Mourinho needs "maybe another signing or two" to launch a Premier league title challenge.

The information is that Pogba's manager, Mino Raiola, will hold a meeting with representatives of Manchester United to handle the deal, which would turn around around 100 million pounds (about $ 481 million).

However, the report states Pogba is not to the point where he wishes to force a transfer, with three years left on his contract at Manchester United. Reportedly, the French star is miffed with United manager Mourinho.

A number of United's under-23 squad could make temporary exits, with European leagues remaining open for business and English Football League clubs allowed to make loan signings until the end of the month.

Disillusioned with life at United under Mourinho, Pogba is understood to be eager to play alongside Leo Messi and former Juventus teammate Arturo Vidal, who joined Barcelona from Bayern Munich last week. There is also no indication at this stage that Pogba is willing to agitate for a transfer. Times added, "Paul Pogba's relationship with Mourinho is strained".

FC Barcelona made a big-money bid for Manchester United's Paul Pogba but in order to complete the deal, the Spanish club needs to raise funds.

Chilean Alexis Sanchez, a January signing from Arsenal, never really settled during the second half of the season but after a summer's rest due to his country's absence from the World Cup, he should be refreshed and better integrated.

Reports have suggested Pogba wants a huge hike in his wages if he is to stay.

Still, the Mail says that Pogba has sent United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward a message to inform him of his decision.

It is yet to be seen if the 25-year-old will be involved in Friday's Premier League opener against Leicester after returning to training this week.
