The child will be Underwood's second with husband and professional hockey player Mike Fisher, joining son Isaiah, who was born in 2015.

The news came along with an announcement for the dates of the singer's upcoming Cry Pretty tour, which kicks off on May 1, 2019.

"It's been exciting to introduce audiences to "Cry Pretty" and I can't wait to bring the new album to life on this tour, along with all of the songs we love to play live", Underwood said. Cry Pretty will be her first studio album on Capitol Records Nashville and marks the first time she has co-produced her own album.

"We're on God's good timing or whatever you might call it", she said at the time.

The new baby joins big brother Isaiah, 3.

The two countries have already imposed £26bn ($34bn) worth of tariffs on each others' goods as the trade war ramped up in July. The criticism is coming after an order made by the United States to reduce oil imports from Iran was rejected by China.

Tickets for the tour go on sale Friday, Aug. 17 at 10 a.m.

Her tour will be making a stop in Houston at the Toyota Center on September 21, 2019.

Underwood announced both her tour and pregnancy on social media this week, writing online that she had "a bundle of info" to share with fans.

Congratulations to Carrie and Mike. At the end of 2017, she suffered a awful fall outside her home, leaving her with a broken wrist and 40-50 stitches in her face. She says they are "absolutely over the moon".
