When the film might score another release date remains to be seen, but Universal certainly seems to think it'll still get made; just not yet.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio said the project remains in an active development and will be dated down the line to accommodate production scheduling. His next film, comicbook adaptation Cowboy Ninja Viking has now been pulled from the release schedule and placed on indefinite hold. He already has Jurassic World with Universal, which released Fallen Kingdom this summer to huge box office numbers.

It's been a crappy week if you're a member of the Guardians Of The Galaxy, to say the least. This meant shooting would need to start soon. It also stars Priyanka Chopra. Cowboy Ninja Viking's story centres around a lethal agent, played by Pratt, whose treatment by a psychotherapist leaves him with "an ability to manifest the deadliest attributes of the three titular personas". GOP Rep. Chris Collins Hit With Insider Trading Charges
Lawyers for Collins released a statement expressing confidence he would be "completely vindicated and exonerated". Collins reportedly surrendered to federal agents in Manhattan this morning and was taken into custody.

Cowboy Ninja Viking, based off of the Image Comics series of the same name, would star Pratt as Duncan, a man with multiple personality disorder who is recruited by a secret government program. Fans will remember that MacLaren was originally going to make her feature directorial debut with last year's Wonder Woman before she left over creative differences. Game of Thrones director Michelle MacLaren was set to direct Cowboy Ninja Viking from a script by Dan Mazeau, Ryan Engle, Craig Mazin, Paul Wernick and David Reese. The film will be produced by Pratt along with Michael De Luca Productions, Entertainment 360, and Mark Gordon under his Entertainment One banner.

Chris Pratt isn't having much luck lately.

Universal's Cowboy Ninja Viking has reportedly hit a speedbump.
