Aston Villa have been strongly linked with a loan move that would see the Scotsman rejoin on loan, but talks seem to have broken down over the past few weeks, with new Hammers manager Manuel Pellegrini deciding he wants to keep Snodgrass until he has decided whether he will get game time or not.

Pochettino has labelled the club "brave" for their stance, stating his satisfaction at securing new deals for players including Harry Kane and Hueng-min Son. "We hope he's still our player by Friday", Villa manager Steve Bruce told BBC West Midlands earlier this week. What the club is doing, is showing, it is so fearless. I think the club is doing an wonderful effort to try to finish the stadium as soon as possible, and the lodge is finished at the training ground.

"Building a stadium that is almost £1 billion".

"That is true, don't believe in £400m, that (£1bn) is the truth!"

"I don't feel the panic in football".

"For me [that] is to be fearless". They are Tottenham players and always they were in my plans.

Andre Gomes loaned to Everton for 2.6 million euros
Gomes joined Barcelona from Valencia in 2016 for (£31.46) €35m but has struggled to nail down a starting place at the Nou Camp.

Tottenham Hotspur became the first Premier League club since the summer transfer window began to fail to sign a single player but Mauricio Pochettino said he was happy for the club to "behave differently".

"We believe a lot in our players and why not repeat a similar season like a year ago or the season before, and with more experience? It's a fearless decision". "Some people make a drama in football and drama for me is another thing", Pochettino said. It is important to be professional, to have commitment, with the team, with the club, with yourself, full commitment until the end. If all the players today are thinking about a collective target, we can be competitive.

"Until you finish the game you can't say it's the end".

The Scotland global was a key man during a loan spell at Villa Park last season, but as the Villans hit financial difficulty early this summer, they were unable to put anything in place that allowed them to keep the playmaker.

Arsenal ended up in sixth spot in the Premier League table last term to result in Arsene Wenger's exit at the end of the 2017-18 season.
