In it, Manigault Newman describes the recorded conversation as being a conference call held on October 11, 2016.

The book "Unhinged", by former White House staffer Omarosa Manigault Newman on her time in the White House administration, is seen for sale in Manhattan, New York, Aug. 14, 2018.

He called Omarosa's book - which she has been hawking on other cable networks - a "treacherous" work, but said Trump responded in a "distasteful and egregious way" to it.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Tuesday that she couldn't guarantee that the American people will never hear President Trump uttering the n-word on an audio recording, as a former senior White House adviser continued a publicity tour to promote her new book depicting the president as a racist. "Omarosa always promises and delivers high drama", Trump tweeted in 2013.

"I think he sort of thought of Omarosa as his invention, as in, 'I made you and therefore you owe me forever, '" said Tony Schwartz, co-author with Trump of the 1987 book "The Art of the Deal". In a 2015 debate among Republican presidential hopefuls, moderator Megyn Kelly asked the then candidate about his habit of referring to women as "fat pigs, dogs, slobs, and disgusting animals".

Trump on Monday denied the existence of any tape from "The Apprentice" in which he used the racial epithet.

So Donald Trump's not a racist because surely Bill and Hill would not have attended the wedding of a racist, right?

Trump insisted, "I don't have that word in my vocabulary, and never have".

Trump's signature marks the first on-time passage of the NDAA in 22 years with the start of the 2019 fiscal year on October 1. Prior to the ceremony Trump watched an air assault demonstration by USA troops at Fort Drum.

Perhaps the sternest criticism is of Trump´s abilities - Manigault Newman describes him as a brilliant businessman but "just this side of functionally illiterate", prone to "forgetfulness and frustration" and in a state of "mental decline" that "could not be denied". She has released segments of conversations with Trump and chief of staff John Kelly that she secretly recorded, leading White House officials to worry that there are more recordings still to come.

She said that when staff asked about the reversals "he would not recall telling us earlier in the day to move a certain way or make decisions in a certain way".

Of course, it's still not clear why she would say Trump said the word if it were not real.

Now that Trump finds himself at the receiving end of Omarosa's blade, he doesn't seem to think she's so "honest".

Trump in recent days has taken to insulting Manigault Newman's appearance and sanity both verbally and via Twitter.

'Donald went back to Pecker and negotiated a deal for me.

"I feel like my hands are tied because as you know I do love to communicate about the things that are going on in my life, but unfortunately I can't elaborate", she said. "I am going to expose the corruption that went on in the campaign and in the White House". I've spoken with him, and he's willing to work with you.
