Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp admitted tougher tests await after opening their Premier League campaign with a comfortable 4-0 win over West Ham.

Liverpool underlined their title credentials with an impressive dismissal of West Ham but watched City match their three points just a little later.

That is one reason why it's hard to see City dropping too many points against sides outside of the top four of five teams and that means Liverpool need to win games consistently to have any chance of challenging them.

West Ham were one of the highest spenders in the summer transfer window and with a reputed manager taking the reins at the London Stadium in the form of Manuel Pellegrini, they will be hoping for a better season this time around.

The homage was reserved for Mo Salah in the aftermath of Liverpool's opening goal, with further tributes extolled on Andy Robertson for producing the pinpoint assist that had carved West Ham apart.

"It's a good time for us", he said.

One of which was a key pass that started the build-up to Salah's goal when he picked up the ball and made a driving run, making a perfectly waited pass for Andrew Robertson to square the ball to last season's golden boot victor.

"Listen, it's a great start for him".

Neves was one of the most talked about players in the Champions League last season and on Saturday he showed why, scoring a stunning free kick in the first half of his side's 2-2 draw with Everton.

"We can not be anything different than the challenger because we haven't won anything since I came in". They accept the offensive line sometimes has not exactly the same desire to defend, so they close the gaps and help us with that. "We want to do just that", he added. I have been able to fit in really well with the club, the training and games we've played have been good'.

LIVERPOOL: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, van Dijk, Robertson, Milner, Wijnaldum, Keita, Salah (Sturridge, 87 mins), Firmino (Henderson, 69 mins), Mane (Shaqiri, 82 mins).

"He will always be a good player, but for the moment he is not for West Ham".

Sturridge inflicted the final blow two minutes from time with his first touch after replacing Salah.

'So, overall, I think it's a good thing for the team'. He was heavily involved in his side's build-up play, leading the way for most passes (102) and key passes (3).

City strike fear into their rivals and that aura allows them to take control of a game from the first whistle, with the opposition rocking back and waiting tog get beaten.
