There is just a little over a week to go until Apple's official event (slated for September 12) where the brand will reveal its newest devices, but the appearance on the web of unofficial renders of what is claimed to be a new iPad have fans trying to piece together the features and functions it will offer.

Next week, Apple will be announcing a total of three brand new iPhone models, including the largest one that is slated to feature a 6.5-inch OLED screen.

We discuss what we're likely to see and what we probably won't see until later.

Shells hit Syria's Idlib as rebels brace for assault
Turkish President Erdogan spoke out against military action against rebels and civilians in Syria's Idlib province, warning that those in Idlib are at risk of "massacre".

There's also no sign of potential accessories to go with the iPad Pro, but we can expect an updated keyboard accessory. But now the website MySmartPrice has mocked up renders based on leaked schematics that visualize what the new iPad Pro will look like. Apple is rumored to kill the Home Button on the tablet as well and offer Face ID in its place.

Even if the report is accurate, though, that doesn't mean Apple will necessarily ditch Touch ID forever. It's hard to imagine Apple nixing the ability to type on the iPad Pro horizontally in laptop-style mode. There are two speaker grilles located on the top edges of the tablet as well. Apparently, there's no 3.5mm headphone jack, but this shouldn't come as a surprise. And while buying a device on EIP or paying full price is a capital expenditure, leasing devices over 24 months through Apple can make the cost an operating expense, which helps to maximize cash flow.
