At one point, he even credited the late rapper's ex-girlfriend, Ariana Grande, for being "unbelievably involved and helpful" with Miller's sobriety journey. "Ariana and him were together and they were very much in love, and I have to say, she was incredible when he was first sobering up". News about how, before his friend, Mac Miller's death, he tried his hardest to help him become sober.

Whether he was an addict or not, Shane explained, she was more than willing to go to hell and back to defend him. "I saw that, I was around it, I took phone calls from her - 'How do I help, what do I do?" "She was an unbelievably stabilizing force in his life". Shortly after his split with Ariana in May Mac was arrested for a DUI hit-and-run in Los Angeles. A spokesperson from the LA City Attorney's Office told ET on Monday that the case is now expected to be dropped.

Powers added that Grande was in regular contact with him about Miller's health.

Grande and Miller previously dated for nearly two years, collaborating on Grande's hit "The Way" and Miller's "My Favorite Part", before breaking up in May.

Crucial to the PML-N, she ensured the party remained functional during the most hard of times. But life as a politician in her own right was not to be for Ms Nawaz.

"I can't keep losing friends like this.I wish I spent more time with you these past weeks.I'm so sorry. rip MAC.you wrote the soundtrack to my college years and I'm so happy I got to know you.this sucks this really really sucks". "A lot of critics were like, 'Yo, this corny-ass white dude, ' just like they're like, 'Yo, this corny-ass black dude.' And we used to talk, and this kid, he just loved music".

Since Miller's death, Grande has yet to publicly break her silence but shared a captionless, black-and-white shot of her ex-boyfriend to Instagram. She has also turned off the comments on her posts.

However, Puth now blames himself for the Dang! hitmaker's death as he doesn't feel he "did enough" for Mac because he was so busy with work.
