That said, most of these games in question have been remastered within the past few years and with Square's ability as a third-party publisher to bring their games to any platform, it's a pretty logical move to make.

Square Enix announced several Final Fantasy titles during the Nintendo Direct presentation on Thursday.

Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon EVERY BUDDY!, a "return" to the 2007 game Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon, will debut for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 this winter.

In 2019, Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles - Remastered Edition, Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy 9, Final Fantasy 10/10-2 HD Remaster, and Final Fantasy 12: The Zodiac Age will all be coming to the Nintendo Switch. World of Final Fantasy Maxima will arive on November 6th.

These are remasters of the original versions - so not the upcoming remake of Final Fantasy VII - but it will be the first time any of them have been on a Nintendo console.

Hurricane Florence threatens millions on US East Coast
The major airlines out of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport are bracing for Florence's impact on the east coast. The flooding will depend whether Florence slows down and lingers over coastal areas as it moves inland, Salna says.

These join previously-announced projects Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition and the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles HD remaster.

Lastly, a new mini-game where you'll get to go fishing with Noctis. If that wasn't enough, even some newer Final Fantasy titles will be making the jump.

Final Fantasy 7 is out now for PC, PS1, PS4, iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch.

Of course, that's just speculation at this time.
