The new satellite imageries taken by NOAA uncovered Tropical Storm Isaac, a former hurricane, as it's moving towards the Caribbean, and Hurricane Helene swirling right off the coast of Africa as it's expected to fly further over the ocean before taking a turn towards Europe.

A Tropical Storm Watch which had been issued for St. Kitts and Nevis, Montserrat, Barbuda and Antigua was also expected to be discontinued by Thursday evening.

"While it remains possible the system becomes a tropical storm, we see no reason right now to believe it becomes more than that, and we're not convinced it develops at all", said Space City Weather's Eric Berger in the blog.

Tropical Storm Warnings are now in effect for Martinique, Dominica and Guadeloupe. A watch is typically issued 48 hours before the anticipated first occurrence of tropical-storm-force winds, conditions that make outside preparations hard or unsafe.

Surf swells generated by Isaac are affecting portions of the Lesser Antilles.

And then before I knew it, I was getting all of this hostile mail and all of that during my last couple of years. Why is it okay for them to question umpires when it's not okay for Serena to do the same? She and Mr.

The Portuguese Sea and Atmosphere Institute said "very strong wind from the south with gusts up to 120km/h, heavy rain and waves from the south between 6 and 8m high are expected from Thursday afternoon to Sunday" in Flores and Corvo islands.

Some coastal flooding is possible in areas of onshore winds.

Hurricane Florence is now generating waves up to 83 feet, almost double the height measured on Tuesday. Across Puerto Rico and the southern U.S. Virgin Islands 1 to 2 inches of rainfall, with isolated amounts up to 4 inches, is anticipated.

The Met Office website added: "The storm will also bring some rain, the heaviest of which looks likely to be restricted to the west side of the United Kingdom, as well as some warm tropical air, meaning the south east of the country could see temperatures later in the weekend and into the start of next week reaching the mid 20 Celsius". The upper level winds are light, meaning the storm is likely to maintain intensity, or even strengthen a bit before making landfall.
