"There are significant leads in relation to that matter", he said, without providing details of the case.

Agriculture Minister Mark Furner was meeting with the Queensland Strawberry Growers Association on Monday afternoon.

Numerous lines of fresh strawberries have been pulled from shelves across the country.

The Department of Health said the fruit should be cut before consumed.
