The first trailer has been wildly praised by fans and elicited some of the best reactions and memes to its content.

Set in the '90s, Oscar victor Brie Larson stars as Captain Marvel, with a digitally de-aged Samuel L. Jackson returning as a much-younger Nick Fury.

Before Captain Marvel makes her live-action debut in Marvel's Cinematic Universe, she's coming to Disney XD to guide a new team of young superheroes in Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors. Oscar victor Brie Larson plays the titular hero, and Samuel L. Jackson pops up as an aged-down Nick Fury.

But here's the most obvious, most important question that emerges from all of this: where does "punching an old woman in the face" fall on Carol's timeline?

Travellers at Hong Kong International Airport spotted the sign-writer's mistake and contacted the airline immediately. The Hong Kong carrier confessed to the error on Twitter , where it was roundly mocked by social media users.

For those who aren't familiar with the Marvel Comics, Skrulls were an alien race who had the ability to shape-shift and spent a lot of time infiltrating Earth's highest ranks to sure power.

The trailer opens with Carol Danvers crashing to the Earth- with her memories already wiped away of her time as a US Air Force pilot after she had joined the Kree Starforce.

Captain Marvel is considered one of the most powerful heroes in the Marvel universe, and fans are hoping the film will answer some lingering questions from "Avengers: Infinity War". "And having her on your side is hopefully going to change the balance of power in a way that they desperately need". It also stars Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Clark Gregg, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Rune Temte, Mckenna Grace, Robert Kazinsky, Annette Bening, Vik Sahay, Colin Ford, and Chuku Modu.
