The Duchess of Sussex used fabric from the dress she wore on her first date with Prince Harry in her wedding veil.

"My goodness, it's awesome, isn't it?" she says.

The former Suits actress - who was known as Meghan Markle before she Wednesday the prince in May - had a square of fabric stitched into the stunning 16ft accessory as her "something blue" for good luck on her big day. There's a piece of blue fabric that's stitched inside? I think the other members of the family had a similar reaction and just appreciation for the fact that we understand how important this is for us and the role that we play, and the work that we're gonna continue to do within the Commonwealth countries.

In the documentary clip, Meghan can be seen discussing the Givenchy gown, which was created by Clare Waight Keller, after seeing it for the first time since the wedding day back in May and she explained why she felt it was important to include what she did in the veil.

Meghan makes her comments when she is reunited with her bridal outfit at Buckingham Palace as it is prepared for a new exhibition, and says: "It's nice to see it again".

The Queen of the World executive producer Nicholas Kent said the documentary will show the world just how hard the Queen still works and how much she dedicates to the Commonwealth.

The outfits Prince Harry and Meghan Markle wore at their wedding will go on public display from October 26 at Windsor Castle.

The embroidered flowers represented each country that has ties to Britain.

"The program across these four Commonwealth countries will focus on youth leadership, environmental and conservation efforts, including the dedication of several new Commonwealth Canopy projects [by the queen] and the recovery and rehabilitation of servicemen and women through the Invictus Games Sydney 2018", Kensington Palace said in a statement. It marks Markle's first television interview since joining the royal family.

Meanwhile, Prince Charles expresses his utmost admiration for his mother in the documentary as he ruminates on her coronation: "When you think how young the Queen was when suddenly my grandfather died, to be required to take on such an enormous task, to have met that challenge the way she did is truly remarkable".

Queen Of The World is screened on ITV at 9.15pm on Tuesday September 25.
