That's what happened on Friday though, as Hong Kong's Unwire published a detailed review of the Pixel 3 XL, complete with photos of the phone, screenshots of the display, a breakdown of the specifications and sample photos taken with the phone.

As rumours go, this one seems pretty plausible, especially since Google started to accept pre-orders for its Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL immediately after the handsets were announced on-stage during a launch event in October a year ago. As expected, though, it's powered by a Snapdragon 845.

Kuldeep scalped his first five-wicket haul of the red ball version as he breathed down the neck of the visitor's batsmen. Kohli in particular took a liking to Shannon Gabriel's pace, dispatching the Windies- quick for a handful of boundaries.

The latest information comes courtesy of Android Central, which claims to have seen a promotional email from Google with details of when the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will become available to purchase online. Engadget speculates that Google might unveil a high-end variant as well with 6GB of RAM. The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones are scheduled to be unveiled on 9th of October and both the handsets will also go for pre-orders on the same day.

It's unclear if Google is taking the war against the headphone jack to the next level by removing the audio connector from the company's tablets as well (it's possible), while the accompanying keyboard cover features distinctive circular keys that include a Google Assistant shortcut. Previous reports have suggested that the higher model, Pixel 3 XL could carry a 3,430mAh battery. The main camera can record 4K at 30FPS, while the selfie cameras are limited to 1080p.
