"Having won again. eight is my lucky number and it is eight years ago I won here so I felt like it was my year", world number two Wozniacki said.

Juan Martin Del Potro was beaten by Georgian player Nikoloz Basilashvili in the China Open final today.

The first set started very close, while Sevastova managed to break the serve to the US Open champion to have a 4-3 lead, allowing her to gain confidence, reports Efe news.

Del Potro's defeat came as a shock for many, and was blamed for being a result of illness by the player, who had been suffering from a cold the past few days. "I had some problem the last three days and it affected a little bit my game". "Caroline played fantastic today, it's always tough playing against her and I have never won. I feel like I'm playing the way I want to be playing right now".

This is the second title of the 26-year-old Georgian's career after he won his maiden ATP title in July.
