In the past few years, the search engine giant has moved into the hardware space with gusto in an attempt to compete with the likes of Apple and Amazon with gadgets including smartphones and home speakers. The tech giant is all set to take the wraps off its latest smartphones on October 9 at an event in NY.

This week it's Google's turn.

The Pixel Slate, a tablet powered by Chrome OS, was leaked just a few days before the Made by Google event on October 9, further removing its surprise factor. Here's what to expect. Hence we expect the company to launch the Pixel 3 series smartphones and tablets today but add a few more surprises as well. The main difference between the two phones is size. The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will support wireless charging for the first time.

A leak revealed that Pixel 3 will have a 5.5-inch display along with a resolution of 2160×1080 and 2:1 aspect ratio.

The tablet should have a front and back camera, with a clean back cover, with the small Google logo in the corner. Half of the features in new phones these days are enabled through software, and for all the hardware leaks we've seen so far, it's much easier to keep software details a secret.

Aaron Ramsey is planning his future away from Arsenal, says Craig Bellamy
Second half goals from Lacazette, Aubameyang, and Ramsey finished a 5 star performance from Arsenal with a 5-1 scoreline. Despite the hot streak, Lacazette insists it is too early to talk of securing a return to the Premier League's top four.

There are also talks of a design refresh of the camera app in an attempt to make the camera even smarter. The design is also similar to their predecessors.

The new devices should have wireless charging, making it the first time the company has included the capability in its phones.

Over the weekend, because Google is really bad at keeping anything a secret, the Pixel Slate was fully revealed.

The front of the two phones will be drastically different from the Pixel 2, though. Additionally, it will also have an Adreno 630 chip for graphics. Under the hood, both the smartphones are likely to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 SoC clubbed with a 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal memory. Although the Pixel 3 XL comes with a single sensor on the back and iPhone XS Max with dual camera setup, the Google phone catches more attention. The Pixel Slate models are expected to come with 8GB and 16GB RAM options, 9To5Mac reports.

The device has a 6.3 inch capacitive OLED touchscreen along with a notch up top. Majority of these leaks came from a Russian guy who allegedly sold a bunch unreleased version of the device.

A US regulatory filing points to Google's matching on Tuesday rivals Inc and Facebook Inc with a smart speaker that has a display to show visual responses to voice commands.
