Black Ops 4 Has A Massive Day One Update

It can be tempting to simply issue a very big launch day patch instead of delaying the release to be sure that everyone can start playing right away.

Treyarch claimed that it is serious about the PC version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, so it will be interesting to see whether the team has addressed the low-resolution textures in the Blackout mode, and whether it will run smoothly on various PC configurations.

Gamers with data-caps, be wary of Activision's Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 as the FPS juggernaut will have a colossal day one update. Weighing in at a pretty huge 50 GB, Black Ops 4's day one update must be fully installed in order to play "the Multiplayer, Zombies, and Specialist Headquarters" elements of the game.

We've known for a while now that Ruby Rose would be heading to Gotham this winter as the CW's very own Batwoman . I guess Barry and Co won't get much rest after their landmark 100th episode airs on December 4.

Elsewhere, Activision also recommends having around 112GB of free space on your console before downloading. On PlayStation 4, make sure you select "Update to Latest Version" when the prompt appears to be able to access Blackout during the installation. It simply says that the day-one version of Black Ops 4 will be roughly 55GB in size with the game and all its various game modes playable after it's been completely downloaded. While GAME's move is considerate, it comes because retail chains tend to demand that physical versions launch alongside their digital counterparts.

For those buying the game digitally on either Xbox One or PS4, you'll be looking at a total of 55 GB to download. BT Games and Game4U stores will have copies available from 6PM on Thursday, with BT Games expected to stay open until at least 8PM on Thursday.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is out October 12 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
