Colfax paints the town pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Marriott Marquis City Center Doha Hotel is again thinking pink for a goal this October, for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. More than 249,000 people in the United States are diagnosed with invasive breast cancer every year and almost 41,000 die from the disease.

Breast cancer screening is the most reliable way to detect the disease when it's at an early stage and is most treatable, experts advise.

"Those who have been diagnosed with breast cancer before are three to four times more likely to develop a new cancer in the other breast or somewhere else in the same breast", said Richard Budde, MD, radiologist, KentuckyOne Health Breast Care. Various studies have claimed that smoking may cause breast cancer. "I am truly so grateful for them".

All women should be aware of what is normal for their breasts even if they get regular screening tests.
