Gearbox Software has announced the VR port of its 2012 critically acclaimed open-world shooter, Borderlands 2, which is coming to PlayStation VR on December 14. But the game will have a teleporting movement system and a new slow motion ability to compensate. Something like The Matrix. As a result, some of the in-game skills have been adjusted, so characters with resurrection abilities will now have self-healing abilities, or skills to deal extra damage. Obviously, this is a bummer but a sacrifice that has to be made likely due to technical limitations of a VR game of this scale. Among other things, according to the site, the game will bring players closer to the action and can be controlled with a combination of real-time aiming along with a standard PlayStation controller. Traversal has also been updated for this VR outing, as you can now use a point-to-point teleport to get around. The VR version of the game will also allow for players to drive vehicles in first-person mode, with the vehicle's weapon aimed in the direction of the player's VR headset, so players can drive in one direction while shooting in another.

There is one downside to all this though. However, it looks like some of the improvements and additions for this edition might make up for it. Pandora will definitely be a much different and immersive experience.

In the meantime, they're celebrating the anniversary with a number of new announcements, including the unexpected reveal of Borderlands 2 VR. If you pre-order now you can get an exclusive PS4 theme.

Met Office Issues Yellow Rain Warnings As Storm Callum Approaches
Director Stephen Stewart said: "Even though power cuts are rare, during times of heavy rain and flooding they become more likely". On Wednesday morning, Met Éireann issued a status orange weather warning for six counties as the storm makes its way to Ireland.

2K Games has been silent on Borderland 3 development, but that doesn't mean the team hasn't been busy.

What do you think of this news? As you take on the role of one of the four main vault hunters, you'll get up and close with Pandora's special brand of insane, like suicidal psychos and the nasty skags that want to eat your face for breakfast. Is this a good enough reason to go back to Pandora?
