After a relatively quiet first half, Bolt came alive in the 57th minute when he showed his pace and strength to outmuscle a defender and buried a left foot strike past Eze Consoni.

Meanwhile, the A-League season will start next weekend and Central Coast Mariners are now expected to make big decision on the future of Usain Bolt with them.

The 100m world record holder, who had training stints at Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund, South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns and Norway's Stromsgodset, joined the Mariners for an "indefinite training period" in August.

Bolt added his second of the evening by taking advantage of some outrageous defending before rolling the ball into an empty net.

But Bolt appeared to be deprived of service for much of the first half - the Mariners preferring to play up the wings leaving Bolt with an outstretched arm in the air, similar to his trademark Lightning Bolt celebration.

The decision to withdraw him with 15 minutes remaining - with the prospect of a hat-trick tantalisingly close - was met with predictable boos and he departed to a standing ovation.

The officials cited in the report, however, cautioned that Ankara may not follow through on the purported deal. The agreement - part of which was negotiated at last month's U.N.

"My first start and scoring two goals, it's a good feeling", the 32-year-old Bolt said after the game. "I'm keen to be a Mariner, and get into the team".

Bolt had a number of other chances before being substituted in the 75th minute, but struggled early in the game to maintain possession.

"Slight improvement if you want to say that but his touch is still very poor", Bosnich, now a Fox Sports commentator, said during the match.

"He is a sportsman and he has a lot of abilities that are important to be successful in football, too".

"I think I made some slight mistakes but it's my first real game with the first team". He just looks a little bit sharper, not a great deal to be honest.
