Ubisoft first revealed the adorable chibi-fied game for the Assassin's Creed franchise previous year for mobile phones but we haven't had a release date for Rebellion - until now!

Ubisoft has also revealed that you'll be brushing shoulders with familiar faces from the series, including Ezio Auditore and Edward Kenway from Assassin's Creed II and Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, respectively. It's probably not a coincidence that Ubisoft announced something related to Rebellion less than a week after the launch of its Assassin's Creed Odyssey game.

Assassin's Creed Rebellion is the official mobile strategy RPG of the Assassin's Creed universe. You can pre-register for the upcoming release right now, and there is a new trailer available for the curious.

If you can't get your hands on Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or you're waiting for sale, Rebellion may tide you over until then. This crossover of characters is achieved by a new Animus that allows several memories to be merged into one.

Other features in the game include time-limited events. "As their Assassins hone their skills and grow their resources, players will participate in epic missions by selecting three Assassins among their Brotherhood to infiltrate the Templars' strongholds and put an end to their nefarious plans".
