Having pulled-out of a deal to re-sign Aaron Ramsey, at least for the time being, manager Unai Emery faces the challenge of signing his own midfield replacement in 2019 - be that in January or next summer. However, it seems one of Arsenal's star could be joining the Gunner's arch-rivals.

However, the Welsh global is in the final year of his contract and looks set to end his association with the north Londoners after Arsenal withdrew a new contract offer that had been on the table for several weeks.

Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka claims he's moving from stride to stride under new boss Unai Emery.

Speaking about Ramsey's contract situation at Arsenal, Wenger was quoted by Metro UK as saying: "We tried that before and it still can happen".

The reporter also included video of him and another journalist standing outside the woman's apartment door asking her questions. Children are crying in the background of the video as another woman, who appears to be their mother, tries to comfort them.

The Gunners midfielder is out of contract and free to leave the Emirates on a free transfer next summer.

Breaking that structure for Ramsey, a good player but not a great one, could prove a mistake.

Ramsey had the pick of the Premier league big boys when he moved to north London from Cardiff for around £5million in June 2008.

The long-term futures of Ander Herrera and Juan Mata at Old Trafford are in serious doubt so Ramsey could be viewed as the ideal solution in midfield and he'd certainly bring an added goal threat if he did join United. According to resources at ESPN FC, Manchester United and Chelsea are keen on signing the Welshman.
