Jose Benavidez adamant that he has too much for Terence Crawford, despite the defending WBO welterweight champion being consistently listed as a 25-1 favourite ahead of their fight in his hometown this weekend. Crawford caught Benavidez with a devastating uppercut, and Associated Press photographer Nati Harnik captured the moment Benavidez hit the canvas in the incredible photo above.

The American was the aggressor from the outset, dictating to Benavidez, who suffered his first loss in 28 fights.

The reason the fight with Benavidez (27-0, 18 KOs) was made has to do with an adjustment and constant trash talk by Benavidez toward Crawford. Crawford (33-0, 24 knockouts) last fought June 9, stopping Jeff Horn in the ninth round in Las Vegas.

With all the trash talk and bad blood leading into the fight, it can make for a real war inside the ring and the fans will be the victor if it ends up in a back and forth battle between two technical boxer punchers.
