Unvaccinated child dies from flu in Florida

Taiwan normally starts its annual free vaccination program on October 1 in preparation for the flu season, which usually begins in November and peaks around February the following year before slowing down in March. Plus, a child in Florida has already died from the flu.

Flu activity remains low across the state, according to the health department, but it's expected to pick up in the coming weeks.

Florida health officials say a child is the first to die during this year's flu season.
