The Brewers took a 2-1 lead in the NLCS after beating the Dodgers 4-0 in Game 3 on Monday.

"Honestly, I didn't think he was going to throw me a strike", Bellinger said.

Roughed up in the NLCS opener, Kershaw mixed his fastball and slider on a hot day to shut down the Brewers.

"He's a player that has a history of those types of incidents", Yelich said. "He has the ability to punch guys out". Miley is expected to start Game 6 on Friday. The Brewers will start left-hander Wade Miley, who walked Cody Bellinger to open Game 5 before getting pulled in an interesting piece of strategy by manager Craig Counsell. The Dodgers scored just seven runs in their three NLCS home games and did not hit a home run.

This sets up Wade Miley to start Game 6 in Milwaukee and Jhoulys Chacin Game 7 - instead of Chacin in Game 6 on short rest. "Not just because of the fans, but because of how we were playing the game ... I don't think I'd single those two guys out, I think there's a bunch of guys we need to get going, and we will".

On Wednesday, the Dodgers will try to move within one victory of their second consecutive World Series berth. "That's where our experience comes in".

The Dodgers will send staff ace Clayton Kershaw to the mound in Game 5. "I haven't been there much lately", Bellinger said.

Barnes' single not only brought home Taylor, but it made a hard decision an easy one for manager Dave Roberts.

The Los Angeles Dodgers earned a 2-1 walk-off victory in extra innings in Game 4 of the 2018 National League Championship Series against the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday night, and these teams will play Game 5 less than 16 hours later at Dodger Stadium. He struck out nine, all on breaking pitches, and walked two. The last time the Dodgers won back-to-back postseason games without a home run was the 1947 World Series. However, that changed in a 32-pitch third when the bottom of the Brewers' lineup again proved to be problematic.

Now several news outlets - in Turkey and the United States - have reported the existence of audio tapes which they say prove this. The report said it was unclear if he was dead or alive at the time .

"Anytime you can work yourself out of situations like that that's going to make or break the game", Kershaw said. That's made him one of the best pitchers of this generation, a three-time Cy Young Award victor, a seven-time all-star, the NL MVP in 2014 and the heartbeat of this franchise.

The Brewers' Curtis Granderson had a pinch-hit RBI double in the ninth inning off Ryan Madson. That prompted Dodgers manager to call on Kenley Jansen for the final out.

Pitching for the first time since throwing two shutout innings out of the bullpen in Game 1, he largely shut the Dodgers down. "Both sides had opportunities, and they were just able to catch one in there at the end". The Dodgers primarily have been using Chris Taylor in the leadoff spot. Justin Turner delivered an RBI single in the inning as part of an afternoon he reached base three times.

With one out, Machado had a broken-bat single to left and went to second on Guerra's wild pitch.

Kershaw has struggled in the postseason during his career, with his numbers never matching his excellence during the regular season.

Davies wasn't on the roster for the NL Division Series.

"It's just a classic case of he executed a lot of pitches", Counsell said.

The Brewers led 1-0 in the third on Lorenzo Cain's RBI double to deep center.
