Paula Abdul falls off stage during concert

Paula 2018 Tour and Paula looked like she was having a great time on stage, despite going through the embarrassing and painful fall.

A "thump" could be heard as audience members shrieked. As she approached the crowd, she took one step too many and completely lost her footing.

She returned to the spotlight as a judge on US talent show American Idol and now she's back on her feet and touring again.

But despite the drama of it all, Abdul got right back up and finished the performance.

The 56-year-old singer was singing her hit "The Promise of a New Day" and walked forward to greet fans, when she suddenly took a tumble off the stage. Her next show is scheduled for October 25 in Ontario at The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor. The song continued to play as Abdul cried out for the audience to sing along with her, apparently unashamed that she was lip syncing to backing track.

Speaking before the current tour, the former "American Idol" judge admitted she was starting to get nervous about the live run as they got closer.

"(Paula) stated, she has been a dancer for years so falls and drops she has gotten used to over the years! Abdul announced on Twitter that the show in Lake Charles, Louisiana would not go on due to a production issue.
