In a few weeks Pokémon is landing on the Switch with Let's Go Pikachu! and Let's Go Eevee!, but Game Freak also has another game in the works, which is more of an old-school RPG game that's set to launch next year. If nothing else, it sounds like Master Trainers will help pad out the post-game content in Pokemon Let's Go, which is always a topic of interest among Pokemon fans. You can get titles for defeating each one, so for example defeating the Charmander Master Trainer will get you the title "Master Trainer of Charmander". In it, we're introduced to the concept of Master Trainers, NPCs you will encounter who decidedly aren't Pokemon Master. The opponents are "dedicated" to training particular species of Pokemon.

When going up against these trainers, each match will be a one-vs-one battle with no items allowed.

An image of each Master Trainer's favorite creature will be displayed above their head, giving players a idea of what to expect.

There's one Master Trainer for each Pokemon species, so you'll need to both catch and train 'em all to prove that you're a Pokemon Master!

They might, if this new trailer for Pokemon Let's Go is any indiciation. The titles will even appear in Link Battles so that all your friends can admire how truly committed you are to the craft of becoming a Pokemon Master.

That's something new in Pokemon Let's Go - are you keen to take on the 151?
