Spotify subscribers can get a free Google Home Mini from today

Previously, Spotify had no official application for the Apple Watch, leaving its more than 190 million users with little choice but to pull their phone out if they wanted to skip a track. It partnered with Google to give out the device to account owners on its family plan. Starting tomorrow, November 1, the master account holder on any Spotify Premium for Family plan in the United States can get a Google Home Mini for the low low price of zero dollars. The company cut its forecast for fourth-quarter gross margin by 50 basis points due to the Google Home partnership.

Within one week of starting the study, all the participants could walk using body weight support. After several months of intense physical therapy, the patients could start walking hands-free.

We'll keep an eye on the promotions page to see if anything turns up about users who subscribe only for one month claiming a Google Home Mini. It's not clear if Spotify plans other features for Premium users, like offline support. If you have tried this method, let us know how it went in the comments. It's also limited to subscribers in the US, and there is another caveat: Subscribers have to pay Spotify directly, and not via a third party like an app store or a telco.
