Meanwhile, sections of Bollywoodians are going gaga over the film's trailer. The trailer also ends on high note with Chitti saying "I will set your screens on fire". And the background score by A R Rahman is doing full justice to the trailer. Like we have Transformers trailer, there will a lot of tender moments before the hot-blooded fights come up. The small mobile phone screens or the laptop screen wouldn't really do justice to the scale of this magnum opus.

Shankar may defend that the tacky VFX shots will look better in 3D, but what about the abrupt cuts in the trailer. One scene features Akshay Kumar as the evil crow and the other features Rajinikanth where their own Chitti shoots with several guns in a stadium.

And knowing Shankar, the film would be a science fiction film with an extremely commercial and relatable storyline.

Asia's most expensive film, 2.0, has generated a lot of buzz for its powerhouse cast, lavish budget and visual effects.

Not just the promo, but even the trailer has received a thumbs up and an overwhelming response from movie buffs on the social media, so much so that, both curiosity and expectations have risen from the film.
