Running back Mike Davis initially lined up far left with David Moore in the slot left.

"I got my last fingernail on it", Addae said. "I barely snipped it". He missed a 42-yard field goal wide left in the third quarter with the Chargers leading, 19-10.

The Los Angeles Chargers have released kicker Caleb Sturgis and promoted Michael Badgley from the practice squad.

"It shouldn't have come down to that but it did", Rivers said. The Chargers (6-2) prevailed to extend their winning streak to five, defeating the Seattle Seahawks, 25-17, after the Seahawks' last-second touchdown attempt failed.

Wilson managed to make the final minutes nervous for Los Angeles.

The Seahawks allowed 11 explosive plays on defense in their loss to the Chargers. "It was going to be dramatic, but we're OK about that". A completed pass here or a properly executed block there could have made the difference. Wilson scrambled for 16 yards to the Chargers 28 and, after a spike, Seattle had 30 seconds left. "That was like a playoff game".

Oh, and Russell Wilson's throw and Brown's catch were pretty good, too. Favre started an NFL-record 297 straight times in the regular season. At times, he showed the same brilliance as a week ago against Detroit when he posted the first flawless passer rating in team history.

White was selected by the Chargers in the fourth round in last April's draft and played in the first three games. It was his first game back since a strained quad sidelined him in Week 5.

Seattle also didn't have answers for Keenan Allen, who had 124 yards on six receptions. "We go against these boys every day", Gordon said. But he missed a game in Arizona earlier this season, was questionable entering Sunday's game because of a hip injury, and while he wound up playing, he couldn't finish the game. Carson had 40 yards on eight carries before going to the bench.

Despite all that, Wilson almost pulled off another fourth-quarter rally.

Seattle played a lengthy tribute video honoring owner Paul Allen who died on October 15 due to complications from non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. "We had a chance but it didn't work", Wilson said. "He affected all of us. his wisdom and his charity and his love for this area". If Sturgis even hit the one field goal attempt or one of his extra point tries, the game would've been out of reach and the Seahawks final drive wouldn't have mattered.

Asked then if Gordon would play Sunday, Chargers coach Anthony Lynn said: "We'll see".
