Democrat challenges GOP hold on Florida governor's seat

Mayor Andrew Gillum of Tallahassee, running as a liberal candidate, is pushing to become the state's first Democratic governor in two decades, and he opened a narrow lead in many polls over the Republican candidate, Ron DeSantis, a former congressman.

DeSantis ran a campaign marred by racism, which began with his praising the economy and saying Gillum would "monkey this up" if elected governor. DeSantis once aired an ad showing him and his daughter building a wall along the U.S. -Mexico border while his young son wore a "Make America Great Again" onesie.

But DeSantis, who stepped down from his Northeast Florida congressional seat in September, said "a lot of our super voters have yet to vote", referring to loyal Republicans who have voted in the last three or four elections. A founding member of the House Freedom Caucus, DeSantis is a full-spectrum conservative.

"Obviously, we do not yet have any vote totals here, the night before the election", he added.

Kemp accused Democrats on Sunday of trying to hack voter registration systems, without offering any supporting evidence.

Tesla's SEC filing said that an enforcement action from either agency could damage its business, cash flow and future prospects. " Tesla will produce all the battery modules at China's super factories, as we do today in California and Nevada", Musk said .

"I would like to thank the president for standing by me when it wasn't necessarily the smart thing to do", he said. "I always vote, but ever since Trump was elected, it's felt especially important to participate". "We didn't win this transaction", Gillum said, adding that "what we believe in still holds true today". I'm 76 years old. Gillum called himself "the most unapologetically progressive" candidate in the five-candidate Democratic field and staked out some positions beyond the reach of state government, such as his call for Trump's impeachment or his endorsement of Sanders' "Medicare for all" plan. Phillis and Jeffrey voted for Andrew Gillum.

Back in August, Gillum made history by winning Florida's Democratic primary for governor. Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania - where Democratic incumbent Tom Wolf easily won re-election on Tuesday - are typically Democratic states that swung to Trump in 2016, handing him the presidency.

Both DeSantis and Scott were projected to lose in the days leading up to the election, according to numerous polls.

Gillum's candidacy was plagued with allegations about his spending while he was mayor of Tallahassee and questions about whether or not an FBI investigation into the city during his tenure as mayor had extended to him.
