While Kate's familu have joined the royal for mass on Christmas morning, they have stayed at Anmer Hall.

When the royal baby news was revealed in October, the grandmother-to-be was said to be "very happy about the lovely news" and looking forward "to welcoming her first grandchild", according to a statement from Kensington Palace.

The source also says Harry is "enormously fond of his mother-in-law", and she's been spending time at the couple's home, including two extended vacations this summer. And according to the Sunday Express, the Queen has broken protocol again by inviting Doria to Christmas dinner this year.

"Doria is very close to her daughter, and she has made several secret trips to England", a source told Vanity Fair in September.

"It's a mark of the Queen's respect for Meghan and an acknowledgement that she doesn't have any other relations in this country - unlike Kate who has the support of a very close family".

This year's total prize money was US$2.35 million across the singles and doubles tournaments. The Australian won their last and only head-to-head clash in straight sets earlier this year.

According to an insider, the invitation was meant as a "thoughtful gesture" to the 37-year-old, who is now pregnant with her first child.

It looks like the Royal Family will be adding a seat to their Christmas table this holiday season.

The royal family reportedly exchanges gifts on Christmas Eve, though extravagant presents aren't in the cards here.

Ragland, 62, was the only member of Meghan's family to attend her and Prince Harry's wedding in May. Instead, the royals give silly gifts - one year, Middleton reportedly even gave Harry a plastic Grow Your Own Girlfriend kit.
