Ramos is charged with first-degree premeditated murder in the death of his mother, Gail Cleavenger, 46, at their home at 35 Alicante Road.

A 15-year-old Florida boy strangled his mother after getting into an argument over a bad grade, said the sheriff, who also calls the boy a sociopath.

Police say Ramos and his mother argued Thursday after he came home with a D grade. Ramos told police he later buried his mother beneath a fire pit and staged a burglary at the house with the help of two friends, who are also charged.

Per Spectrum News guidelines, we aren't releasing the identities of teenagers unless the State Attorney's Office charges them as adults.

The next morning, Ramos went to school and called police after he came home that afternoon to report that his mom was missing, the house had been ransacked and her van was still running in the driveway.

Ramos then teamed up with his close friends from University High School, Dylan Ceglarek and Brian Porras, both 17, to make it seem as though Cleavenger was killed during a break-in.

The HPC said its delegation will not meet representatives of the Taliban on the sidelines of the summit. But sources have said that it is unlikely that the Afghan government will attend the meeting.

Gail then called stepfather Danny Cleavenger - who was away on a business trip in Seattle - to tell him about the grade, before going to bed around 11pm. "There was nothing at all like that", Chitwood said.

The son entered her room about 12:30 a.m. Friday, investigators said. After they hung up, Cleavenger went to sleep. Photos of Ramos showed markings on his face which the Sheriff's Office believes are from his mother fighting back, detectives said. The boy initially told deputies his mother was missing, but Chitwood said he later admitted killing her mother while she was sleeping.

Nearby the home, deputies recovered the dumped property that was removed from the home in the fake burglary - computers and other electronics including a Playstation 4, a rifle and other items.

"The case we worked on tonight was one of the most disturbing and saddest I've seen in my career", Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood said in the statement.

Upon searching the woods, police say, they discovered a shovel Ramos used to bury Cleavenger and a broom he used to clean up his tracks.
