However, instead of sending a normal tweet to rip his critics, Bell made a decision to write his message using upside-down letters.

We first reported late last night Bell was spotted at a Pittsburgh-area LA Fitness playing some pickup hoops with the locals but now ESPN reporter has confirmed the obvious.

Despite the video, there was no indication Wednesday that Bell had visited the team's facility.

He played under a franchise tag in 2017, earning $12.12 million after turning down a five-year, $13.3-million-per offer.

There have mixed reports dating back to the preseason on when Bell would report to the team, with an expectation he would return to the team during their Week 7 bye. He can become a free agent in 2019 if the Steelers do not place a third tag on him.

According to the club's official website , Ander said: "It's like I was saying in some interview before". I felt we needed him to give more balance and to recover the ball faster.

Bell told ESPN in early October that he is staying away to preserve his long-term health for his next contract but intends to play football this season.

The newest twist came on Wednesday when Bell lashed out at his critics on Twitter.

"Just about everybody has an opinion on my life and anxious about what I'm doing". & that's clearly on them ... Aditi Kinkhabwala of NFL.com reports that neither the Steelers nor the NFL is planning on making the franchise tender from this season carry over to next season, but Bell could miss out on benefits in relation to his pension and healthcare reimbursement that are connected to how many credited seasons a player has. Bell has been working out in Miami this season, but on Monday he tweeted "Fairwell Miami" without further explanation.

With the new information, Bell is reportedly considering whether or not to show up at all.
