Starring Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh in lead roles, the adventure drama is expected to write new records for a Bollywood film. Although Aamir Khan's character Firangi seems to be modeled around Jack Sparrow, the action sequences of Thugs is nowhere close to Pirates of the Caribbean.

The film is set in the backdrop of British India when some revolutionary were fighting against the British government for the freedom of India.

Khudabaksh (Amitabh Bachchan) is like a commander who uses some wily tactics to fool the Britishers and loot a ship for his fight. It revolves around the life of a thug and his gang who challenge the British Empire in the country.

Overall, it's a complicated story that had the potential to be entertaining but poorly executed.

Up to eight feared dead in Marseille apartment building collapse
Abdou Ali, 34, came in search of his mother after she did not come to collect her youngest son from school on Monday afternoon. Residents say they had warned the buildings were structurally unsound for years, but accused city authorities of doing little.

Aamir has a loyal fan base and his fans expect nothing less than a blockbuster every time he comes out with a film.

Although the film has not gone up to the mark and trade analyst Taran Adarsh has stated this film a totally disappointing. "All that glitters is NOT gold... Formula-ridden plot, screenplay of convenience, shoddy direction are the main culprits..." the tweet read. #TOH is a golden opportunity lost, a KING-SIZED DISAPPOINTMENT!'

However, reportedly Aamir isn't confident about this film like his previous flicks and with the trailer getting a divide talk, the suspense continues.

Director Vijay Krishna Acharya's recently released film Thugs Of Hindostan (Thugs Of Hindustan) has become the latest victim of online piracy as illegal sites have opened gates to download the full movie or online streaming for free just hours after its release in theatres. It remains to be seen in the coming days if it will live up to the hype it has created and if it will do well at the box office.
